Summer is finally here – and with it, another major highlight of our annual calendar: the Long Night of Science, to be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023!
The corporate communication team at CCM is organizing a number of activities surrounding the event, all bringing medical research to life. One of these activities is the Science Slam to be held at the Paul Ehrlich Lecture Theater at 8 p.m. on the day of the event, where we will be presenting science in quick, entertaining talks.
During the Science Slam, researchers of all ages give condensed presentations on their specific topics in exciting and creative ways that make the subject accessible to a general audience. The audience decides who wins.
In addition to offering fascinating insights into the various subject areas, we also managed to bring the German Science Slam Champion, Lisa Budzinski, on board as one of the event’s moderators. She will open the event outside of the competition with what she calls an “Opfer Slam” and then team up with Tine Hassert to guide audiences through the program. The prizes for the four participants are provided thanks to the generous support of Alumni-Club der Charité e.V. and medical publisher Medizinisch Wissenschaftliche Verlagsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG.
Corporate Communication has provided us with ten tickets for this awesome event, which we will be raffling off.
To enter to win a ticket, please write to us at alumni@charite.de with the subject line “Science Slam” by Wednesday, June 14.
Join us for the night that makes you even smarter!
